AGORA
AGORA was inspired and created in celebration of the historic McCarren Park pool site, a 50,000 square foot abandoned pool in Williamsburg. The site-specific dance performance invited the community to re-experience a moment in movement in the monumental public space. AGORA produced the illusion of travel through the different layers of visceral urban experiences and explored the phenomenon of agoraphobia as a social and physical reaction to urban architecture.
Created in collaboration with dancers Lily Baldwin, Elise Knudson, Ayelen Liberona, Reba Mehan, and Will Rawls
